Rev. Steve Little, Senior Pastor
|
Steve was born in Smithfield, NC but spent most of his young life in Kentucky. He attended Ashland Community College and Asbury College. He joined the US Air Force in 1971 and was stationed at Pope AFB in Fayetteville, where he met his wife, Marie, who was also in the army. He graduated from Methodist College in Fayetteville in 1976 and from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1980 with a Master of Divinity. He served his first full time appointment in the Kentucky Conference. He moved to the NC Conference in June 1984 and served West Rockingham UMC and most recently the Erwin-Parker's Grove UMC. Steve and his wife, Marie, have three children and one grandchild. |

Megan was born in Virginia Beach and attended college in Lynchburg, Virginia at Liberty University. She graduated from Liberty with a degree in television broadcasting and a minor in women’s ministry. Her greatest weaknesses are chocolate, coffee, and a good chick flick. Megan, along with her husband, Braxton, plan to spend their life serving the Lord through missions. |

Harriette Lovin, Adult Choir and Praise Team Director
|
Harriette is a Fairmont native. She graduated from what is now the University of NC at Pembroke in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education K-12 with Piano as her major instrument and minors in both Voice and Church Music. She is married to Mack A. Lovin Jr. and has a 17-year old stepson, Kyle, who is a senior at Lumberton Sr. High School. She is currently in her 21st year of teaching and employed by Cumberland County Schools as choral director for South View Middle School in Hope Mills. |

Ms. June Nygaard, Organist |
June is a 1959 graduate of Elon University with a
degree in English and history. She was widowed at the age of 29 and returned to
her home in Rowland from Portsmouth, Virginia. She is the mother of two sons,
Grant H. Nygaard and Dr, Clint T, Nygaard and the grandmother of six. She
taught for over 30 years in the public schools of Virginia, Johnston and
Robeson Counties in North Carolina and Avolon Academy in South Carolina. She
joined the staff at Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in April, 2006.
after serving nine years as organist at Ashpole and Rowland Presbyterian
Churches.
