Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are laity caregivers assigned by clergy to individuals in our church who need extra care during times of crisis as their lives, such as divorce, grief, illness or illness of a family  member. Men caregivers are assigned  to men   and women caregivers are assigned to women..

Training:  Once a week for 2 and  1/2 hours  for 20 weeks.

After training , Stephen Ministers are committed to 2 years of service and spend approximately one hour a week serving their care receiver. They will also meet twice a month for supervision with other Stephen Ministers.  There is a great need for this ministry in our church family as we administer God's love to each other.  This training may begin before fall, depending on the interest shown,  Please contact Bob or Frances Scott at 739-5145 as soon as possible.
