Families Ministries
The Family Ministry is a group working toward activities that will bring families closer together.  Mat & Gaynelle Patterson currently serve as chairpersons for this ministry.  Events are planned to include all family units and all ages.  Activities will include skating & boogie time, Family fun Day in the park, Pool Parties in the Summer, game night, Tail-gate parties for LSHS football game and UNC_P, Carowinds Day, and Trick or Trunk in October. 

Library

The library of Chestnut Street United Methodist Church, located in the Asbury Building  is available to all members of the church. There are copies of The Discipline, Methodist Annual Reports, fiction, reference materials and children stories. The United Methodist Women’s Reading Program is housed in the Library.

Wednesday Night Fellowship    

The Wednesday Night Fellowship meets each week with dinner at 6:00PM followed by a short program. This is
open to everyone in our congregation who enjoys eating and sharing a program together. Make your

SAINTS -- Sharing Answers Involving Nurses Technical Services
 
The Senior Adult Ministry is offering a new ministry to our church.  This ministry is a Health Ministry for everyone in CSUMC.  There will be four retired senior adult nurses who have willingly accepted this call to be of service.  They are:  Jean Harris, Pat Horne, Jo Ann Falls and Joyce Musselwhite.  One nurse will be on call for a week each month to answer your health questions and adivse you.  They will be on call from 8 am until 4 pm daily.

Circuit Riders
The Circuit Riders consist of a diverse group of members that are singles and couples age 50 and above. They are mostly members of Chestnut Street United Methodist Church. The group believes in fellowship and fun. They are a caring, compassionate, fun loving, adventuresome and wholesome people. They are forever exploring new places to travel and new ideas.  The Circuit Riders have fellowship dinners during the summer months and after church lunch on the last Sunday in each month.  We have made plans for the new year.  The trips that we have planned are listed in The Circuit Riders Plans.

P.A.T.

Nineteen of our members met and organized our new group, P.A.T. (Prime Adult Timers.) The elected officers are: President - Phiena Doares, Vice President - , Secretary & Treasurer - Jackie Utz. The group will meet the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at Ryan's Steak House for a Dutch luncheon. Cost is approximately $6.50. The group will enjoy a spiritual program as well as get involved in special activities encouraging spiritual growth
