Robeson County Church and Community Center A ministry designed to help emergency
needs, literacy tutoring of children and adults and home repairs for the needy.
.CSUMC contributes to its operational expenses |

Christian Care Center A Corporation for the purpose of feeding the
hungry one hot meal per day. They also provide a three day emergency for the
needy. CSUMC helps provide volunteers to help serve the meals and they
contribute to the operational expenses. |

Boys and Girls Club Organization for children ages 6 through 18 at the
membership of $1.00 per child per year. They provide guidance in behavior and
educational area. Their aim is to gear each child to become a good citizen at an
early age, CSUMC contributes to the operational expenses |

Family Violence Center A temporary home for abused families. CSUMC
provides toiletries , paper products, coloring books and crayons for children. |

Scouts |

Living Christmas Tree A structure constructed of steel .plywood and wire
and decorated with live Magnolia leaves and Christmas lights. The tree is in the shape of a
Christmas tree and will hold up to forty adults. This a gift of music for the
community by the Children, Youth and Adult Choirs during the Christmas season. |

Angel Tree Donations given to purchase Christmas gifts for needy children
and senior citizens of Robeson County These donations are given to the Robeson
County Church and Community Center. |

Rowland Norment School This is one of the primary school of the Public
Schools of Robeson County that has been adopted by . Volunteers contributes time
and money for books. |

Nursing Homes Volunteers visit, circles provide Christmas gifts for a
home, and other projects as needed. |
 |
Wesley Pines This is a
retirement home who serves Methodist and others who desire to live within a
Christian community. They are based on the concept that they can provide care
and all their needs in retirements years. United Methodist Men meets with the
residents on third Sunday morning, They provide transportation to the church for
worship services. |

Adopt-a-Highway Volunteers
collect trash on specified highways on a given date. |
 |
Meals-on Wheels This is
a non-profit volunteer based service that delivers nutritious midday meal to
people who are elderly, disabled, or homebound and are unable to prepare their
own meals. |
 |
Robeson House This is an emergency shelter for children ages 7 to 17
who are classified as dependent, neglected, abused, undisciplined, and
delinquent for ninety days. The children are referred to them by the Juvenile
Courts and the Department of Social Services. CSUMC contributes to this
organization.. |

Lunch Bags Provided for the hungry who stop by the church. |

Special Needs Assistance Help provide materials and equipment for special
needs class at Lumberton High School. |

Helping Hands is a
program under development
which will create a method for CSUMC
members to call in to the main office of the church if they have some odd
jobs around their own house that the member is either physically incapable
of handling or those things that perhaps a church member cannot afford to
hire someone to come to their house to do. Examples would be hedge
trimming, mowing, changing a light bulb, etc. The church will be developing
a list of volunteer workers who can be called upon to assist to get these
jobs accomplished. More information on this program is forthcoming. |

Families First is a
program through the Department of Social Services in our community whereby
the church will “adopt” a needy family, usually a single mother with
children in such a fashion that the mother needs our spiritual assistance in
getting her life back on track and could use some advice and assistance from
volunteer church members. The program is financed by DSS. More information
on this program is also forthcoming. |

Community Mission Projects Respond to various needs to the community . |

CIS (Community in Schools)
A Donation is made in support of CIS. |

Host Workteams CSUMC provides housing and facilities for preparing meals
and for taking showers for out-of-town workteams. |

Mission Workteams Short term mission trips for our youth. These are
faith-developing and life-changing events. Our youth have gone to the SIFAT in
Alabama and several local missions. |

UMCOR (United Methodist
Committee on Relief) Disaster Response |

MATCH (Mothers and Their Children) Provide support and resources to
maintain and strengthen family relationships and help break the cycle of
children repeating their parents mistakes. |

Migrant Workers Provides health kits for school and migrant workers. |
