Sunday School News
June-August begins the summer quarter for our Sunday School classes. Five
of our adult classes will be studying the Adult Bible Studies which
will focus on First and Second Thessalonians and Philippians. Three
remaining adult groups enjoy a book study series on a variety of subjects.
If you have not been part of a small group study this may be the time to
join.

We are now a small class, however, we have excellent teachers. We
support the Soup Kitchen monthly and the Meals on Wheels program. We use the
International Bible Lesson Series. Ages are middle age and older
couples and singles. Class meets on the first floor in the Education
Building.

The Wesley-Friendship
Class.
-
-
This is a warm, caring, praying and supportive fellowship of
believers. They seek and search the scriptures and its application to their
daily lives. This class has a fellowship that promotes spiritual growth and
lasting friendships from ages thirty and up. They are supportive of all of
the programs of the church and strive for harmony of the whole church.
Monthly socials are planned to promote growth and fellowship. The class
begins with announcement and singing followed by the lesson. This class
meets on the first floor in the Education Building. Teachers of
this class are Frances Scott, Phiena Doares and Norm Morton. The

The Morning Glories

The Morning Glories led by class members on a
rotation basis.. It
is composed of post college age women and older. A book study class, the
Morning Glories study current works by such authors as Max Lucado and other
contemporary Christian authors. Study guide questions are also answered and
shared as we learn real life application from the scriptures and each other.
These help us to meet our common goal of being in closer communion with God.
The Morning Glories meet on second floor in Asbury Building. at
9:30-10:15 on Sunday mornings. All women post college age and older are
welcome to attend.

The New Directions Class
-

The New Directions Class is a "class participation" study group made up
of men and women of all ages. They study God’s word for the purpose of
discovering God’s will. They contribute financially to different projects:
twice a year to the Children’s Home , once a year to Wesley Pines and to
other charitable concerns. The International Bible Lesson Series is the
curriculum used. Ages include young , middle, older couples and
singles Class building in the second floor in Asbury Building
Jerry Jordan is the leader.

This class meets in the conference room in the Education Building. Men
only attend this class and ages vary. Curriculum include the Max Lucado .Bruce Jobe
, Tim
Bell and Eddie Smith serve as teachers

Koinonia Class
This class consists of couples and singles of varying ages. It has a
discussion class format based on a variety of topics on Christian faith
and living a Christian life. This class meets on the second floor of the
Asbury Building. . Matt Patterson & Angela & David Sumner serve as facilitators for this class weekly.

Covenant Class
Class meets on the First Floor in the Asbury Building Ages include middle age and older couples and
singles. International Bible Study is the curriculum. Beth Sigmon,
Jon Everson and Gibson Gray alternate as
teachers.

Manna Class
-
Our newest class is for ladies only. Ages vary. Beth Ray
leads this class which uses curriculum from the International Bible Study.
This class is located in the Education Building main floor in the East hallway.

Infant Nursery
-
-
Crib Nursery during the Sunday School hour provides for
infants through 2 years. Rachael Hydell and Leeanne Hall help provide
love and care for our little ones. It is located on the main
hallway of the Education Building.

Nursery-preschool -Heather Miller; Grade 1-6 coordinator is Kathy Smith.
Safe Sanctuaries Monitor is Edith Duncan. Our goal is to reach as
many children as we can and spread God’s love to them. We want
to be able to let each one experience as much of God’s love as we can and
to see that God is with them in every aspect of life. We want to make sure
they learn how to use the Bible on a daily basis.

Preschoolers Lunch 'N Fun
This
program will be offered each Wednesday from
12:15-2-15pm All preschool children must be accompanied by an adult. A
